Our strategy emphasizes regenerative farming practices, which has been shown to sequester large amounts of carbon, potentially offsetting up to half of all US GHG emissions, if applied widely. By implementing regenerative and organic practices, the strategy seeks to improve soil health, reduce soil erosion, and increase water retention; ultimately aiming to minimize fertilizer inputs, increase crop output and boosting yield resiliency.
We leverage our agriculture industry and environmental group networks to invest in off-market farmland and associated downstream assets to take advantage of market inefficiencies.
Our natural capital investment strategy focuses on finding institutional quality farmland properties and associated downstream assets with solid financial return prospects. Additionally, we develop and monetize the investment's impact values, aiming to enhance returns; impact transactions can include emission reduction and removal payments, ecosystem services, reforestation/afforestation and renewable energy on non-farmable portions of the properties, land mitigation transactions for both environmental and species rehabilitation, among others.
