Jamey Chumbler

Managing Director, Forestry

Jamey joined the Advisor and its affiliates in 2011 and serves as Managing Director for the firm’s portfolio of forestry assets. In this role, he oversees the implementation of acquisitions, dispositions, and asset operations. Prior to joining the Advisor, Jamey worked seven years with Rayonier Inc. as a Procurement Forester in Georgia and South Carolina. Before joining Rayonier, he worked as a Staff Forester for a large forestry consulting firm where he provided forest management services for an institutional investor. Jamey earned both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Forest Resources from the University of Georgia, as well as a Master of Business Administration from Piedmont College.

Shea Flanagan

Director of Sustainability and Strategy

Shea joined Conservation Resources in 2021 and serves as the Director of Sustainability and Strategy. Previously, she developed forest carbon initiatives in Latin America with BTG Pactual and market-based conservation solutions to advance sustainable water and agriculture programs in the Western US with LegacyWorks Group. Prior to these positions, Shea held several roles focused on land, water, and habitat conservation with The Nature Conservancy in New Hampshire and the Adirondacks. She holds a BA in Biology and Environmental Studies from Dartmouth College and an MEM from the School of Forestry and Environmental Studies at Yale University. Shea is a member of the Women’s Forest Congress and previously was a board fellow for The Nature Conservancy in Connecticut.

Deborah Fortin

Chief Compliance Officer

Deb joined Conservation Resources in 2013. She serves as the Chief Compliance Officer and is also a Member of the Board of Directors of Conservation Resources. Deb brings to the group a background that includes over thirty years of diverse accounting and financial management experience, including reporting and compliance with various state and federal agencies. Her experience ranges from Director of International Finance and Operations for The Timberland Company to being responsible for system-wide tax and financial reporting as General Accounting Manager for the University System of New Hampshire. Deb has a BS in Accounting from the University of Rhode Island and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Massachusetts.

Kent Gilges

Chief Conservation Officer

Kent is the Chief Conservation Officer of Conservation Resources and leads the firm’s conservation and impact practice. Kent is a founder of Conservation Resources and serves as a member of the Board of Directors. Prior to joining the group, he worked for The Nature Conservancy in a variety of roles, ultimately serving as the Managing Director of Finance and Acquisitions for its Global Forest Partnership. He has served on the boards of the Forest History Society and Wood Library. Kent holds a BA from Cornell University and an MSc in Forestry from the University of Oxford.

Stavros Koutsantonis

Chief Operating Officer;
Managing Director, Agriculture

Stavros is the Chief Operating Officer of Conservation Resources and serves as Managing Director of the firm’s agriculture investment business. He joined Conservation Resources in 2017 from Brookfield Asset Management, where he managed investments in global real asset sectors, focusing on agriculture. Prior to that, Stavros held senior investment roles focusing on agriculture and other real asset investments with Millennium Partners and Fidelity Investments. He holds a BA in Economics from Yale University and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Stavros is a CFA charter holder and member of the CFA Institute and CFA Society Boston.

Paul Young

Chief Executive Officer

Paul is the Chief Executive Officer and co-founded Conservation Resources in 2004. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Conservation Resources. Prior to co-founding Conservation Resources, Paul managed a portfolio of timber assets with Prudential Timber Investments and held several roles at the Hancock Timber Resource Group. He holds a BS in Marketing and Accounting from Boston College and an MBA from Babson College. Paul is a member of the executive committee of the National Association of Forestland Owners and the Keeping Forests initiative.
